Dog servicesin Irving, TX

Irving, TX no longer requires you to register your pet, but it does require a microchip for every dog four months and older. Irving Animal Services, a division of the police department, can chip your dog at the shelter during business hours for $15. Irving residents can also pick up a voucher at the shelter for a free spay or neuter, rabies vaccine and microchip through the city's partner programs. Texas law requires the rabies vaccine by four months of age.

If your dog goes missing, file a Lost Pet report online. It goes to shelter staff, is posted on the city's Lost and Found page and stays up for 30 days.
