Digital license and usage rights

This license applies to every digital product you buy from dogserv.com, and it is part of our terms of service. You accept it when you complete a purchase. It does not cover the free guides and tools on the site, which the terms of service cover, or products you buy from other stores through our links.

A digital product is anything we deliver as a file or online access rather than a physical item, such as a guide, an eBook, a checklist, a planner, a worksheet or a printable. Each product page will say what the product includes and in which formats.

When you buy a digital product and pay for it in full, DogServ gives you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• download the product and keep copies on the devices you use;
• use it for the care and training of your own dogs;
• share it with members of your own household;
• print as many copies as you reasonably need for that personal use; and
• write your own notes on it.

The license lasts as long as you follow these terms.

Unless we agree in writing, you may not:

• share, send, sell, resell, rent, lend, sublicense or give away the product or any copy of it, in whole or in part, including by posting it on a website, social media, a shared drive, a file sharing service or a group chat;
• use the product, or material copied from it, in a paid service, a class, a course, a business handout or any other commercial use;
• change the product and pass the changed version on, or create a new product based on it;
• remove our name, copyright notices or any other notice from it; or
• use it to train or build artificial intelligence models or datasets.

Quoting a short passage with credit to DogServ, for example in a review, is fine.

If you are a trainer, groomer, walker, sitter, boarding or daycare business, veterinary practice, rescue or other dog business, you may use a product you bought to inform your own work. You may recommend it to your clients and link to it on dogserv.com. To hand copies to clients, use it in classes or include it in your own materials, ask us about a business license through the contact form first.

DogServ, or the people who licensed material to us, own all rights in every digital product, including copyright. Buying a product gives you the license on this page, not ownership of the product or its content.

We will deliver each product in the way its product page describes, and the download or access details will reach you right after payment.

If a download link fails or a file will not open, tell us through the contact form and we will send a working copy. Please keep your own copy; download links may expire.

We may update a product to correct or improve it. When we do, we will try to make the updated version available to earlier buyers, but we do not promise to.

Digital products share the limits of everything else on DogServ: they give general information, not veterinary advice. Our terms of service explain these limits. If your dog is ill or may have eaten something toxic, call your veterinarian or an animal poison control center right away.

The license ends automatically if you break these terms. When it ends, you must stop using the product and delete or destroy every copy you have. If we end a license because the terms were broken, you are not entitled to a refund. Refunds for other reasons are covered by our refund and returns policy.

What we promise about a digital product, and what you can do if it is faulty, is in our refund and returns policy. The disclaimers, limits of liability, governing law (Texas), venue (Harris County, Texas) and agreement to arbitrate in our terms of service apply to digital products and to this license.

Nothing on this page takes away any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
