Dog servicesin Coppell, TX

A lost dog in Coppell, TX starts with one online form. The Coppell Lost Pet Form goes straight to Animal Services staff and into the city's lost-and-found records. Coppell Animal Services, a city department at 821 S. Coppell Road, answers at 972-304-3515 and is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It also posts an adoption list of dogs and cats.

Coppell requires pets to be registered with the city, and the city has a leash law and a pooper scooper ordinance. Texas law requires a rabies vaccine by four months of age. If a dog bites someone, state law requires the bite to be reported to the city where it happened.

For off-leash time, Pooch's Bark Park is four fenced acres at 400 S. MacArthur Boulevard, open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. It has two large-dog paddocks, a small-dog paddock for dogs under 30 pounds and an all-weather turf paddock. Grass paddocks close Wednesdays, and the turf paddock closes the second Tuesday of each month. Bring proof of a current rabies vaccine, and Coppell dogs must wear their city license tags. At Coppell Nature Park, dogs are welcome on a leash from sunrise to sunset.
