Dog servicesin Haslet, TX

Haslet, TX contracts its animal control to a private company, All American Animal Control. According to Haslet's animal control page, it handles animal patrol and emergencies such as an injured pet with no owner around, a dog bite or an animal that seems aggressive or rabid. The city does not list a direct number, so call 911 for an emergency or the city's non-emergency line at 817-439-1048.

At home, a dog may be off leash only behind a sufficient fence or wall, or on your own property under your direct supervision; anywhere else it needs a leash. The city's park rules require a leash in every park and ask you to pick up after your dog right away. Parks are open from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily, and none of them has a dog park.

Haslet counts a dog as currently vaccinated for rabies when no more than 12 months have passed since its last shot, given by a veterinarian licensed in Texas. In extreme heat, the city's severe weather guide says never to leave pets alone in a closed vehicle and to check animals often for heat distress.
