Dog servicesin Burleson, TX

Burleson, TX has a city off-leash park for dogs of every size. Burleson Bark Park, at 616 Memorial Plaza, covers 0.91 acre with a small-dog paddock for dogs under 30 pounds and two large-dog paddocks that rotate weekly. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. and closed Mondays for maintenance. Keep your dog leashed until you are inside the off-leash area, bring no more than three dogs and make sure each one wears a current rabies tag on its collar.

Outside the park, Burleson does not allow a dog to be at large. Under the city's animal code, your dog must be kept in by a building, wall or fence strong enough to stop an escape, or held on your property by a strong chain or leash. The code also requires a current rabies vaccine, and a new resident moving into Burleson has 10 days to comply.

Burleson Animal Services handles lost, found and stray dogs inside city limits and keeps a lost and found animals map. The shelter at 775 SE John Jones Drive is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Monday: 817-426-9283. For an injured animal, a bite or an aggressive animal, the city's animal complaints page says to call the Burleson Police Department right away at 817-426-9903.
