Dog servicesin Liberty Hill, TX

Away from home in Liberty Hill, TX, a dog needs a leash or chain no longer than six feet. The city's animal control code counts any other dog off its owner's property as running at large. At home, the dog must be kept in by a fence strong and tall enough to stop an escape, or held by a strong chain or leash.

For a lost or found dog, the county's Lost & Found page is the place to report and search. It belongs to the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, 1855 SE Inner Loop in Georgetown, which handles strays, reclaims and adoptions. Because the county's pages do not say clearly whether Liberty Hill is a partner city, call the shelter at (512) 943-3322 to confirm it serves your address before you bring in an animal.

Keep rabies shots current. Texas law requires the vaccine by four months of age, and a state report counts 40 animals that tested positive for rabies in Williamson County across 2024, 2025 and 2026, including 35 bats and one dog.
