Dogs in Azle, TX need a city license tag. Under the city's dog and cat rules, you get the license in person or in writing by showing current rabies vaccination proof and paying the fee. It is good for one year, and the metal city tag must stay on your dog's collar or harness at all times. Puppies under four months, and owners who have lived in Azle for less than 10 days, are exempt.

Azle does not allow dogs to run at large, on or off your property. The city's general animal rules count a dog as restrained when it is securely caged, confined to your home or yard, or on a leash at least five feet and no more than 10 feet long. The city lists no dog park, so plan on leashed walks.
