Dog servicesin Springtown, TX

Springtown, TX runs its own animal control and animal shelter. Springtown Animal Control helps with loose and stray dogs, lost and found pets, bite investigations, aggressive dogs and neglect concerns inside city limits, and dogs running at large may be impounded. If you cannot bring an animal in yourself, the Parker County Sheriff's Office says to reach animal control through its dispatch at (817) 594-8845.

Dogs in Springtown must be under restraint at all times: caged, kept in your home or yard, or on a leash between five and ten feet long. The city's animal control FAQ limits a fixed chain or tether to three hours in any 24-hour period; for longer, use a pulley or trolley system, and the restraint may not weigh more than one-eighth of the dog's body weight.

The city code treats proof of rabies vaccination as paperwork from a state-licensed veterinarian showing an annual shot. Frequent or long barking that disturbs neighbors is a public nuisance. A restaurant may allow pets on its open-air patio, but dogs other than service animals stay out of grocery stores, restaurant interiors and pools. The city has no dog park yet.
