Texas law requires a rabies vaccine by four months of age, and the state health department says the signed vet certificate, not the tag, is your proof. Grayson County Animal Control says a dog that bites must be quarantined for 10 days, and it names raccoons, skunks, bats, foxes and coyotes as high-risk rabies carriers, so keep your dog away from wildlife. The city lists no dog park.
