Butter yellow and cream squares run to every edge of the mat, with a small apricot heart in some of them. Because the checkerboard has no border, the fish or bone outline never cuts one off. In the middle sits a cream patch outlined in dark brown, right where it shows between the food bowl and the water bowl.

"DINNER IS SERVED." in tall condensed capitals. The bowl going down is the only other announcement your dog needs.
