Dog servicesin Bryan, TX

A dog that lives in Bryan, TX needs a county license, not a city one. The City of Bryan Animal Control page says all dogs, cats and ferrets living in Brazos County must have a Brazos County Pet License. It costs $15 a year, and you need proof of a current rabies vaccine to get it. The Bryan Animal Center also offers microchipping.

If your dog goes missing, start with the Bryan Animal Center at 2207 Finfeather Road, 979-209-5260. It is open Monday from noon to 4 p.m. for reclaiming animals or looking for lost pets only, Tuesday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. To report a found or stray dog, call Animal Control at 979-361-3888. That number is also on call after hours for an injured stray with no owner or a bite that breaks the skin.

In Bryan parks, the city's park rules require pets to stay on a controlled leash at all times, and owners must pick up and properly dispose of pet waste right away. In summer heat, the city's extreme heat guidance is plain: never leave people or pets in parked vehicles, where temperatures can reach deadly levels in minutes.
