# Help for Dog Businesses

DogServ helps trainers, groomers, walkers and sitters, boarding and daycare, vets and rescues with the problem in front of them: a website that needs work, not showing up on Google, reviews that need attention, or no time for video. Websites start at $1,500 plus $99 a month. Tell us what is in the way through [the contact form](https://dogserv.com/contact/).

## Which problem are you trying to fix?

Pick the one that is costing you the most right now, and start there.

- **"People cannot find us on Google or Maps."** Start with your Google Business Profile: verified, complete, with the right category, hours and service area. Google says local results depend mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, and that complete, accurate information helps ([Google Business Profile Help](https://support.google.com/business/answer/7091?hl=en)). See [SEO and AI search for dog businesses](https://dogserv.com/services/seo/).
- **"We have too few reviews, or bad ones nobody answered."** Reviews need a steady way to ask and a habit of replying. See [review management for dog businesses](https://dogserv.com/services/review-management/).
- **"Our website is old, hard to use on a phone, or does not say what we do."** See [web design for dog businesses](https://dogserv.com/services/web-design/), with every price and what a site for your kind of business needs.
- **"We have no time to make videos or post."** See [video marketing for dog businesses](https://dogserv.com/services/video-marketing/).

If two of these sound like you, the website usually comes first, because the profile, the reviews and the videos all send people to it.

## What you can do this week, for free

Before you pay anyone, a few things cost nothing but time:

- **Claim and fill in your Google Business Profile.** Add your services, hours, service area and real photos. You cannot pay Google for a better local ranking ([Google Business Profile Help](https://support.google.com/business/answer/7091?hl=en)), so this is where every local business starts.
- **Ask happy clients for a review, with a link or a QR code.** Google allows asking; it does not allow offering anything in return for a review ([Google's review policy](https://support.google.com/business/answer/3474122?hl=en)).
- **Tell the businesses around you.** Vets, groomers, trainers and pet stores refer to each other. Ask whether you can leave cards on their counter.
- **Show up where dog owners already are:** adoption events, dog parks, local markets.

When those are working and you want more, or you do not have the hours to keep them going, paid help starts to earn its cost.

## What it costs

![Home office corner with a closed laptop and shut planner on a desk, leashes hanging on hooks by the door and a dog asleep under the desk](https://dogserv.com/pages/for-dog-businesses/what-it-costs.jpg)

All prices are starting prices. Vets and businesses with several locations are usually quoted higher, because they need more pages and more content.

| Service | Starting price |
| --- | --- |
| Website | $1,500 build + $99/month (hosting, care and at least 4 new blog posts a month) |
| Google Business Profile management | website + $149/month |
| Local SEO and AI search | website + $395/month |
| Social media | website + $295/month |
| All three together | website + $595/month (6-month commitment), $244 a month less than separately |
| Citation and review cleanup | $150 one-time |
| Review management | from $99/month, or $199/month with other review sites and disputes |
| Video marketing | $79 for one video to try it, then from $99/month for 2 videos a month, or $199/month for 4 |

Every service is delivered by [Web Leveling](https://webleveling.com), the web agency Cal Hewitt founded in 2019. The full breakdown, including what changes the price, is on the [web design page](https://dogserv.com/services/web-design/).

## Get listed in the DogServ directory

Dog businesses can also ask to be featured in the DogServ newsletter, free at launch. [Ask about a newsletter feature](https://dogserv.com/newsletter/).
